Junction Center for Independent Living, Inc is a strong advocate for new residential and public construction be built using Universal Design principles so that the removal of residential barriers allow for successful aging in place.
Personal Assistance Services (PAS)
Personal Assistance Services (PAS) is provided those whose activities of daily living require the assistance of an attendant to provide additional help to be able to live as independently as possible at home. Consumer Directed (the individual hires and directs the attendant) Personal Assistants attendants perform non-medical activities of daily living.
Information and Referral: Center staff members identify resources, services, and service providers in public, private, and community organizations. Information is provided on accessibility, housing, recreation, transportation, and other organizations dealing with disability issues. Center staff members regularly make referrals.
